If Kids Ruled the City
On Saturday, August 29, 2009, hundreds of aspiring architects, builders and city planners joined Block Companies and the Center for Planning Excellence in Baton Rouge for the inaugural “Building Blocks: If Kids Ruled the City” event. What started as a simple city grid at 10 a.m. became a complete city, as envisioned and built by the children, by the close of the day. The event, hosted by the Louisiana Arts and Science Museum, showed what is possible when children’s’ imaginations can run wild!
